may I introduce you to Lindsay Pagano?

When she was just a wee girl (aged 14), Lindsay Pagano was signed to Warner Bros. Records. Her first and only album to date, entitled “Love&Faith&Inspiration,” was produced by Jude Cole and featured a guest appearance by Paul McCartney. The lead-off single, “Everything U R” was used by AOL in a TV campaign. For a year or so, she lived the rock star life in LA, toured with Jesse McCartney (no relation to Macca) and when her Warner deal fizzled was signed as the first artist to The Matrix’ (producers of Avril Lavigne among others) fledgling label. Suffice it say, Let’s Hear it Records never materialized and the single Lindsay recorded with them entitled “Bang” disappeared… unless you have Pro Tools and could rip it directly from the website!

So Lindsay and family returned to Philadelphia where she finished high school and went to Temple, having recently graduated. But she has continued to work at the music thing. She nearly made it through American Idol’s Philly auditions two seasons ago and then last year posted some demos, one of which, “I Gotta Stop” has finally shown up as a fully realized single. It’s available on ITunes. It’s also been doing well on internet and regional radio without any major label influence. Like so many other artists, Lindsay’s doing it all herself. My hat goes off to her, I’ve always thought she has something special. She’s also a rabid Eagles’ fan with a taste for Taco Bell, so she rocks in my book!

If you like, you can check out the video she shot in Philadelphia for the tune:
