Hawaii’s Son, America’s President

0815091508While in Hawaii recently, I ran across this fantastic bobblehead. As far as I can tell it’s only available over there, having been made for the Hawaiian market. If you look closely you can see that President Obama, as immortalized here, is wearing a flower lei and giving the ‘hang loose’ sign, thumb and pinky outstretched. While a minority of Americans (with less than low intelligence) are still babbling incoherently about Barack Obama’s citizenship, let this be all the proof you need: Obama is Hawaii’s son and America’s president. ‘Nuff said. Now, quickly, geography and history lesson – Hawaii is a chain of islands, approximately 2500 miles south/soutwest of Los Angeles. It’s five main islands are Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and Hawaii (the Big Island). Hawaii, in it’s entirety, became a state in 1959 which means it’s one of the 50 United States (yes there are 50!) and anyone born there is an American.
